There goes my food connoiseur potential

Thought I could get into this whole food blogging thing but obviously tak jadi since no fire to blog about it... I blame the coming exams and all the studying I've had to get done. So here was the project that... sorta didn't take off.

I was a guest to a big family dinner recently (like a month ago) and here's what we got to eat:

*yum yum*

The traditional starter for chinese families... Sharkfin soup extraaa 'kau'.

Which was followed by... I call it "Fish cake with chicken skin" which is actually what it is I think... Basically fish pretending to be chicken... Uh. I dunno. I just eat food.

This fish was sooooo big, we had to take a second picture of it.

And you still can't see the whole thing... Joyce and I took one pic of the fish each. Guess who's the better photographer?

This... was stupendous... Huge prawns in sweet, thick, creamy sauce of entah apa. I usually don't ask where it came from if its good.

Naturally no good chinese dinner ends without... flied lice.

Of course, food always tastes better when you share it with a friend :) Thanks for the invite.
