As we are walking back from the Ruinous Crypt… …
Back at the Sleeping Lion… …
So yes, All Might gets into another fight… AGAIN. Deciding not to spend our hard earned coin on damages, it was a no-brainer to try and stop the fighting. Unfortunately this means All Might won't be joining us on our next adventure
As we leave All Might in his usual cell at the City Watch, we decide to see if Jekserah is really up to no good since the warehouse is just a few streets over. If she is just a merchant on the up and up then we will just say we got lost and ask her for directions to the Diamond Mine for her errand.
Everyone assumes that necromancy can only be used for evil, an undead workforce would help out with all the construction we're behind schedule on in the previous scenario
The Living Bones guards fail to respond to any of our "passwords", even "Swordfish" didn't work and that always does. Even as we insist that we are tourists and ask if they could be dears to point us towards the nearest gift shop, the Living Bones draw three swords each, well can't say we didn't give it a try.
Thinking that Jekserah must be a really cheap merchant, Rincewind pulls his Invisibility Cloak over him and eases the next door open to see another group of Living Corpses in the next room, well undead staff are dead cheap after all. Even as the Living Corpses begin shuffling down the winding passageway of the room, Rincewind decides to summon "AID FROM THE ETHER", basically a tiny mystical drone that shoots teeny tiny mana bolts at the enemy.
Even as the last Living Corpse is being cremated slowly by the burn wounds from Xanna's "FLAME THROWER", Rincewind whistles for his magic carpet and "RIDES THE WIND" up to the next door and busts it open.
Seeing the two hulking giants, Rincewind quickly pulls an about turn on his magic carpet and drops down behind a set of tables whilst throwing blast after blast at Jekserah's two Inox Bodyguards. Retreating towards the entry hall of the warehouse, Xanna activates her "PROXIMITY MINE" and leaves it in the pathway of the barrelling Inox Bodyguards. From the cover of the doorway, the party continuously pummels the two Bodyguards whilst Thalia who has run out of throwing daggers taunts the enemy with insults to keep them from noticing the mine.
Even as the Inox Bodyguards close in on Xanna's proximity mine, Thalia hugs the shadows as if she were invisible and manages to sneak up behind the two Bodyguards, waiting for the bumbling guards to set it off. The massive explosion that occurs sets the first Bodyguard on fire but somehow he remains standing. Not leaving anything to chance, Thalia launches herself at the back of the second Bodyguard and plunges two daggers into him for a whole 12 damage.
Rincewind and Xanna both gape in amazement as the first Inox Bodyguard steps out of the smoke, blackened by the explosion of the proximity mine with a wide grin on his face. But even as he takes a step, his eyes roll back into his head and the massive Inox falls to the ground with an almighty crash, finally out cold after all the damage.
Typical cop, let's us do her dirty work then uses the jurisdiction trick to get out of doing her job
Now let's cut to the action in real time!

What a crazy weekend it has been, I had my sister's wedding to manage and totally forgot that it was International Tabletop Day. Still, we managed to get in so much Gloomhaven in one sitting. My exhaustion record should technically still stand at 7 – 0 as I've been making the mistake of using the Tinkerer's "REINVIGORATING ELIXIR" to get back my "REVIVING ETHER" card which is not legal. I still think we would have won nonetheless so our record stands intact at also 7 – 0, which is kinda amazing.
We will be back with more Gloomhaven adventures in three weeks' time.
Until next time, keep calm and play better.
